Canvass of Democratic Run-off Election results
The official canvas of the Democratic Election results will occur Thursday, June 2 at 11:00 AM at 4745 Coolidge, Beaumont, TX 77706. There is no meeting. I will enter the official results in the Texas Secretary of State’s Website.
Ray Nelson will also be in attendance. Official notice has been posted with the Jefferson County Clerk’s office. My term ends June 9, 2016.

As a reminder, due to the passage of House Bill 910, DPS has ceased issuing Concealed Handgun Licenses and is now issuing Licenses to Carry. Please note that Concealed Handgun Licenses are valid for use in the polling place if they are not expired. You may find images of these IDs on Slides 11 and 12.
Also, please note a military identification is acceptable if it meets the following requirements:
– The ID card is federal;
– The ID card is military;
– The ID card contains a photograph;
– The ID contains an expiration date which is in the future or is the date of presentation, or a past expiration date which was not more than 60 days from the date of presentation, or the ID does not contain any expiration date.

The SDEC has adopted a ratio of 175 gubernatorial votes equals one delegate to the state convention with no alternates (meaning more delegates with all having a vote instead of half the delegation as delegates and half as alternates).
Everyone must re-apply AGAIN in 2016 to be able to automatically get a mail-in ballot for all elections in 2016.
Please inform all your over 65 friends and relatives who used this method of voting last year. All disabled persons are also eligible.
